“God, You are working everything . . .

“God, You are working everything together for good. You didn’t say I would like it. You didn’t promise it would be pleasant. What do You want to teach me in this circumstance?”
– God is in Control by Charles Stanley, p. 13

“What do you want to teach me in this circumstance?” is the most difficult question to ask. Often times, we are more concerned with getting out of the circumstance/getting away from it instead of learning what we can from it. (I know it is more easily said than done. I, like many, have a tendency to want to run when things get unpleasant instead of learning what I can from uncomfortable situations).
