Scary Movie

Taking my sisters to the movies is always a major event because of the vast difference in ages. Nevertheless, I took my three younger sisters to see the free family movie that the theater was playing. A few minutes into the movie, I realized that Journey to the Center of the Earth was too scary for my four year old sister. So, bribing her with popcorn and a drink, I managed to get her out into the lobby. Thirty minutes later, popcorn all finished, my sister began begging to return to the movie. “The movie is too scary for you,” I explained.

“I’ll be brave!” Marian said quickly.

I laughed, “Well, I’m not brave. I’m scared.”

Marian had a solution, “I’ll cuddle with you!”
